Navigating a vastly expanding, increasingly complex ocean of information is a challenge for all citizens of the world. Those who are information literate will successfully meet this challenge by applying the practical and critical thinking skills needed to identify, access, evaluate and use information. Finding appropriate information helps an individual answer questions, solve problems, make decisions, and expand his/her knowledge.

The Milwaukee Lutheran High School Media Center has current topic books, career information, paperback fiction books, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The USA Today, current magazines, and other books to help the student do research and reports.

The Media Center has 10 networked computers with access to the Internet, other resources, Microsoft Word and Power Point. There are also 26 networked computers in the library computer lab that is used by classroom teachers.

Bible Gateway - A free service for reading and researching Scripture online.

Bible History Online -  The focus at Bible History Online is history and the bible.

Blue Letter Bible -  The Blue Letter Bible now has over 4,000,000 links onsite to over 165,000 pages of concordances, lexicons, dictionaries, commentaries, images, and Bible versions.

Bible Maps - A free Bible atlas which harnesses Google maps.

Studylight - A collection of bibles, commentaries, concordances, dictionaries, etc...

BadgerLink provides access to full text magazines, newspapers and reference resources, literature, and other information. The services are provided by the Department of Public Instruction with funding through the Public Service Commission, Universal Service Fund.

BadgerLink Resources for Wisconsin Residents

1. EBSCO - EBSCO provides access to 22 databases of magazines, journals, newspapers, images, and reference materials covering education, health, business and general areas of interest.

2. ProQuest - ProQuest provides access to abstracts and full text of over 800 newspaper, magazine, journal and trade publication titles, including 12 Wisconsin newspapers.

3. African American Biographical Database - The AABD brings together biographies of thousands of African Americans into a single, unique resource, carefully assembled from biographical dictionaries and other sources.

4. ACCESS Newspaper Archive - Newspaper Archive contains millions of searchable newspaper pages, dating as far back as the 1700's, presented in a PDF format that preserves the original context and format of content.

5. LIT Finder - LitFinder contains a wealth of primary literature content, including citations and full text of hundreds of thousands of poems, short stories, essays, speeches and plays.
