Basic Math I, II, III, IV Syllabus
Expectations:
1. Be on time to class and turn assignments in on time. (1 Pet. 4:7)
2. Be neat and honest with your work. (Col. 3:23)
3. Treat other students and teachers with respect. (Mat. 7:12 & Rom. 12:1-5)
4. Be responsible. (Mat. 25:21)
5. Follow policies and procedures. (1 Pet. 2:13)
Materials Required:
1. Pencils or pens (must have writing utensil everyday)
2. Calculator. If you are planning to take a higher math class get a scientific calculator. Calculators are available in class from teacher. Deposit required.
3. Assignment notebook
Evaluation:
Grades will be based on assignment scores, test scores as well as productivity each day; the amount of work finished and progress made will be recorded. Productivity will be factored into each six-week and semester grade. The students will be expected to complete at least one activity (practice, project, or test) each school day. While there will be class time to work, students can expect to occasionally bring their
worksheets home with them.
Grading Scale:
A =100-93 C+ =79-77
A- =92-90 C =76-73
B+ =89-87 C- =72-70
B =86-83 D+ =69-67
B- =82-80 D =66-63
D- =62-60
F =59 and Below
Absence policy: If student is gone from class the student is responsible to find out what
was missed that day. If the absence is more than three days parents may
call the school and they will send a homework request sheet. If there is
pre-planned absence, please notify the teacher so homework can be
arranged ahead of the absence.
Cheating Policy: Cheating is not acceptable behavior. If any student is caught cheating
they will follow the disciplinary measures outlined in the
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY that is posted in the classroom.
Missed & Poor Work: Students will be allowed to turn in missed work with daily
penalties. Any quiz or test that was done poorly may be redone within one week of the day the assignment is turned back in. Students must make corrections on initial assignment and then make arrangement to retake. Retakes will not be done during class time.
Emergency Procedures: Fire Exit and Tornado information are posted. Any medical
emergency will be taken care in office unless immediate attention is required. Then 911 will be called from the classroom.

Progress Reports: 1st 6 weeks will be distributed Wednesday October 11th.
2nd 6 weeks will be distributed Wednesday, November 29th .
Expect a report from every teacher. Ask for them.
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Schedule Tuesday night October 24th 5:00- 8:00 p.m.
and Wednesday morning from 7:30 – 10:00 a.m.
