The Study Center at Milwaukee Lutheran High School provides individual academic guidance and support to a variety of students. Students who use the Study Center will have demonstrated a need for additional instruction, support, or structure in their studies, and report to the Study Center in the place of Study Hall.
What DO I DO in Study Center?
· HOMEWORK (Before the due date, please.)
· Update and complete daily planner book
· Organize materials, assignments, notes, tests for the next day
· Review / Rewrite class notes
· Prepare for upcoming tests by: rewriting notes, reviewing assignments, creating flash cards, writing practice questions, re-reading assigned material
· Work on math skills
· Research for projects
· Use the computer for school work

What DON’T I DO in Study Center?
· Disrupt others’ study environment
· Sleep
· Go to the cafeteria
· Ask for a pass without presenting a completed daily planner book & MLHS ID
· Use the computer for surfing the internet, chatting, games, or e-mail
· Create and leave a mess on tables, counters, sink, floor…
· Leave materials out when I leave
· Disregard school rules and policies
· Disrespect other people
· Eat
What MAY I DO in Study Center?
· Drink water
· Help another student (with permission)
· See your counselor
What MUST I DO in Study Center?
· Be in the room, seated, and quiet when the bell rings
· Maintain a daily planner
· Complete work on time
· Get permission to use computers
· Follow directions
