Resource Study Hall
Mrs. Linda Koebert - Study Center
Room 331, ext 238
Resource Study hall at Milwaukee Lutheran High School provides individual academic guidance and support to a variety of students. Students who use the Study Center will have demonstrated a need for additional instruction, support, or structure in their studies, and report to the Study Center in the place of Study Hall.
Each student who uses the Study Center will be expected to have and maintain the MLHS daily academic planner that will be used to plan study activities and record assignments and test dates. In addition, the Study Center is equipped with computers, textbooks, reference materials, and supplies for student use. Donations of paper, tissues, ink and other supplies are always appreciated.
While my ultimate goal is to foster independent study habits, I also strive to maintain communication with my student’s teachers and parents. I have found that it is often most efficient for parents to gather progress information from their child’s teachers and then communicate to me what needs to be worked on or completed. Parents are encouraged to call me either at school (414-461-600; ext. 238), or to e-mail me (
) with concerns, requests, and information regarding their son’s or daughter’s school progress. Students may also use a Weekly Performance Evaluation form (the blue sheet) to review their own progress, and share progress information with their parents, counselor and myself.
While in the Study Center, students will be expected to follow our 5 school guidelines for behavior:
- Treat people with dignity and respect
- Care about others
- Follow policies and procedures
- Be on time, and ready for class
- Perform to the best of your ability
In addition, there are a few basic expectations that will need to be followed.
- Bring your completed planner, homework or study materials, calculator, pen & pencil every day
- NO FOOD allowed; You may bring a water bottle
- Be seated and quiet when the bell rings\Use your time well
- Do not leave ANYTHING in the Study Center unless given permission to do so
- Gain permission from the teacher to use the computer or other study center materials
I look forward to a successful year.
In Christ,
Mrs. Linda Koebert
