2nd Psychology Project (Spring 2011)
Have you ever wondered why people do, say and think such strange things? What is it about that person that makes them “different” from those around them? Did you want to find out more about a certain person but did not know how to go about analyzing them?
This project is designed to give you a chance to look more closely at a famous person that interests you. You will choose the person that you would like to analyze and report on. Please note, before you choose your person, you need to have teacher approval. Examples of people to report on: Elvis, Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain and Barry Bonds.
The Paper: 170 points
Each paper needs to be 4-6 pages - 80 points
- 5 content resources used - 20 points
- give a brief history of the person’s life
- include any interesting facts, why the person is important or controversial
- present your case as to why the person acts the way they do
-make sure to back this with “concrete” facts
-including psychological terms, case studies and research are vital to the validity of your arguments
Works Cited page- 20 points
Done in 12-point font and Times New Roman or Arial
Double Spaced, APA Style of Referencing, Spelling/Punctuation – 10 points
In-text Citations are required (10 quotes) – 40 points
-only 3 online sources (need to be .gov, .org, .edu), no .coms.
-DO NOT USE YOUR TEXTBOOK OR Wikipedia.org. These are sources that should not be in a research paper.
Your grade will be based on your on the quality of the presentation of your information.
TOTAL POINTS = 170 (10% of Semester Grade)
