Wednesday: Finish Introduction, read pages 3-7 for tomorrow

Thursday: quiz on reading, notes on pgs 3-7

Friday: read pages 7-10 in class, worksheet is due on Tuesday

September 1st-5th  

Monday: No School- Labor Day

Tuesday: collect worksheet on pages 7-10, hand out and discuss 1st project syllabus, assign groups for presentation on pages 10-17

Wednesday: group presentations

Thursday: quiz on group presentations, hand out review sheet for Chapter 1 Test

Friday: Chapter 1 Test

 

Psychology (1st & 7th hours)

September 8th-12th

Monday: hand back quizzes from Friday, begin reading and discussing pages 23-29

Tuesday: Hand back Chapter 1 Tests, hand out APA sheets for proper research and citation methods for their first project, finish reading pages 23-29

Wednesday: notes on pages 23-29, choose topics for first project

Thursday: finish notes, read pages 29-37 for tomorrow (expect a quiz)

Friday: quiz on reading, worksheet on pages 29-37 due on Monday

September 15th-19th    

Monday: collect and grade worksheets, discuss rewards and punishments

Tuesday: essay on rewards & punishments (150 words each) due on Wednesday, read pages 37-40 for tomorrow as well (expect a quiz)

Wednesday: collect essays, hand out and discuss notes on reading

Thursday: group work on pages 40-49 (due on Friday)

Friday: collect group work, hand out review sheet  Chapter 2 Test and vocabulary words (27) will be on Monday

September 22nd-26th

Monday: Chapter 2 Test

Tuesday: begin discussing Chapter 3, read pages 53-56, write down earliest memory for tomorrow

Wednesday: go over earliest memories, worksheet on pages 53-56 (due tomorrow)

Thursday: collect and grade worksheets, go over pages 56-61 in class (read remaining pages for tomorrow)

Friday: quiz on reading, notes on pages 56-61

September 29th-October 3rd

Monday: finish notes on pages 56-61, discuss pages 61-64, students need to read pages 61-64 for tomorrow

Tuesday: quiz on reading, discuss pages 61-64 and 64-69, read pages 64-69 for tomorrow

Wednesday: quiz on reading?, worksheet on the reading (due tomorrow)

Thursday: collect and grade worksheet, read pages 69-72 in class, hand out and discuss memory techniques sheet

Friday: notes on pages 69-72, hand out review sheets   *Test Review on Monday. *Chapter 3 Test on Tuesday 

 

October 6th-10th   

Monday: read and discuss pages 69-72, go over some problem solving items

Tuesday: notes on pages 69-72, read pages 72-75 for tomorrow (if you take notes, you can use them on tomorrow’s quiz)

Wednesday: quiz on pages 72-75, hand out review sheet for Monday’s test

Thursday: Review for Chapter 3 Test     *Chapter 3 Test will be on Monday*

Friday: No school: Student Help Day

 

October 13th-17th 

Monday: Chapter 3 Test

Tuesday: group game on up coming chapter (5)

Wednesday: All School Testing Day

Thursday: read pages 107-111 in class, notes on reading

Friday: finish notes, work with a partner on examples of subliminal advertising (10) and come up with an example of your own (due Monday) 

 

Psychology (1st & 7th hours)

October 20th-24th

Monday: quiz on pgs 111-115, discuss effectiveness of subliminal advertising, assign partners to present good and bad ads and one of their own

Tuesday: choose dates for project presentation, partners work on ads, worksheet on pages 111-115 (due tomorrow)

Wednesday: collect worksheet, have partners present their ads

Thursday: finish presentation of ads, taste testing on certain products to see importance of different types of advertising

Friday: Project (paper) is due, presentations begin that day

Monday: Presentations, read pages 115-120 and complete worksheet for Wednesday

Tuesday: Presentations

Wednesday: Presentations, collect worksheets

Tuesday: quiz on pages 133-138, hand out and discuss project syllabus, assignment on pages 133-138 (due tomorrow)

Wednesday: Collect assignment, read pages 139-144, finish remaining for tomorrow

Thursday: notes on pages 139-144

Friday: read pages 144-153 for Monday (expect a quiz), pick groups and discuss debate for E.C. on Final Exam for next Friday
