2. Respect everyone and everything in the classroom (teacher, students, environment)
3. If there is any type of problem, communicate with the teacher
4. Be prepared for class (Pencil/ pen, notebook, folder, and at times a Bible)
5. Focus on learning (other work not tolerated)

CHEATING POLICY :
The Academic Integrity Policy will be enforced, unless teacher sees otherwise.
HALL PASS POLICY :
Passes will not be given out to use the bathroom or to get materials that you left in your locker. Passes will only be given out when it’s an emergency or if work during the period has been completed.
ACADEMIC REFERRALS:
Students will be sent to Guidance with an academic referral under these circumstances:
habitually late with work, doesn’t bring required materials to class, late with major paper.
HOMEWORK:
Students are expected to be done with assignment when class begins. Most assignments are worth 10 points. Half-credit will be given to all late assignments.
RETAKE
Students can retake any test and the average grade of the 2 tests will be given. An F on a test will result in the student being required to retake it. There will be a deadline for when retakes can be done.
DEVOTION ASSIGNMENTS :
On a rotational basis, students will be assigned devotion. Students will be asked to share any verse in the Bible with the rest of the class and explain how the verse applies to us or the individual student. The student will then lead the class in prayer. This is a part of the HW/Assignment grade.
ABSENCE POLICY
If a student is absent, he/she is expected to talk to the teacher about what was missed. If an assignment is due when the student is absent, he/she would turn it in the day returned. (some leeway will be given).
JOURNAL WRITNGS
Students will be expected to have a notebook every day for class. Class time will be given for journal entries. Notebooks will be turned in approximately every 2 weeks.
ARTICLE REVIEWS
Approximately every Friday, an article review will be due. It is the student’s assignment to find an article related to any type of health topic. ½ summary and reaction of the article will be written. Many news websites have health sites (cnn.com, msnbc.com, jsonline.com,etc.)

MISCELLANEOUS
- There is no textbook for this class, students will receive their information through handouts, notes, and videos.
- The teacher will be primarily using Total Health : Choices for a Winning Lifestyle by Susan Boe as a basis of information for the class.
- Once or twice a week class will be devoted to examining and analyzing The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.
