Physical Education III (PE 310 & 315)
Course Information
- Number of semesters: 1 semester is required and the other may be taken as an elective
- Course credit: 1 credit hour per semester
- Open to grades: 11th and 12th grade Girls and Boys
- Prerequisities: Girls Physical Education II (PE 210) or Boys Physical Education II (PE 220)

Course Description
Classes at the junior-senior level are coed classes where the emphasis shifts to activities of an individual or dual nature. Many lifetime sports, including fitness classes, are offered along with a variety of team sports. A student selects those activities of greatest interest and benefit. One semester is required each year, and the other semester may be taken as an elective each year.
Topics of Study
FIRST SEMESTER
1st unit - Volleyball, Fireball or Angleball, Golf, or Beginning Archery
2nd unit - Speedball, Ropes I, Racquetball, or Tennis
3rd unit - Badminton, Relaxation, Floor Hockey/Roller Blading, or Weight Training
4th unit - Social Dance, Basketball, Kickball, or Levels 1, 2, 3, or 4 Swimming (required)
SECOND SEMESTER
1st unit - Basketball, Cross Country Skiing (Ice Fishing), Weight Training, or Fitness Club
2nd unit - Team Handball or Indoor Soccer, Levels 1, 2, 3, or 4 Swimming (required), Relaxation, or Racquetball
3rd unit - Ropes I, Ultimate Frisbee, Square Dance, or Fly Fishing
4th unit - Badminton, Softball, Bicycling, Ropes II
