Prerequisites: Geometry (MA 210) or Accelerated Geometry (MA 220)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to prepare students to use advanced algebraic skills and concepts in mathematics and other related disciplines. It includes a study of linear, quadratic, polynomial, trigonometric and logarithmic functions. A graphing calculator is required.

TOPICS OF STUDY:
Advanced Algebra with Trigonometry utilizes algebra, trigonometry, problem solving and communication skills. Topics covered during the year include: 
    - solving/graphing linear equations/inequalities 
    - solving systems of equations along with graphing and applications 
    - solving, graphing and factoring quadratics and other polynomials 
    - solving radical equations 
    - solving exponential and logarithmic functions 
    - applications of trigonometric ratios
