Applied English places an emphasis on basic reading, writing, speaking, and organizational skills in order to bring students up to grade-level proficiency. Students will be immersed in literature throughout the school year, spending class time reading to themselves, reading aloud, and being read to; comprehension and critical thinking skills will be strengthened through various activities.
