Course Description
This course is designed for students to acquire an in-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and techniques utilized in solving business problems and making financial decisions. Special emphasis is placed on (1) accounting on a cash basis (2) departmental accounting, (3) different ways to form a partnership and divide profits and (4) different methods for taking care of depreciation and accrued income. During the second semester, computerized accounting applications are completed for a departmental business, general business and for payroll.
